What We Do
Iconic EV is full-service electric vehicle conversion shop located just outside of Denver, Colorado. We’re ready to help anyone, anywhere with their electric vehicle. Converting a car or truck to electric is a very involved and complicated project (at least if it’s done right!)
Our approach is consultative. We work with you to understand what you want and to make sure all of your requirements are met. We’ll be with you every step of the way.
Our team is open to any project, but our focus is on complete electric transformations here at the shop. Our work is complete and top-quality. We can make a car or truck that is daily driver reliable, but our focus is more on vehicles that you drive on special occasions. If you’re familiar with the term “Restomod”, then you can think of us as a restromod shop that specializes in electric drivetrains. We’re building vehicles that you can count on and that will last for generations.

Okay, there’s little chance you would have gotten this far if you don’t love classic vehicles. We believe that “classic” is in the eye of the beholder, so we won’t try to define that, but the point is if you are looking for a brand new EV, that’s great, but that’s not what we do. Iconic EV is for when there is a car from the past (maybe only 10 years old? Or maybe more than 100?) that stirs your soul and you not only want it, but want it to be uniquely yours!
You Love (or think you MiGHT love) an Electric Vehicle:
Alright, let’s get this out of the way right now. There are many things to love about cars, and sometimes one of them is the roar of an unbridled gasoline engine. A Hemi 426 or Ferrari V-12 is drool worthy even by us, but let’s face it, there are many “cool” cars that even when they were new didn’t exactly have the best drivetrain. Why not update that classic with something more powerful, more reliable, more efficient, and just … electric!
You Want a professional transformation:
If only it was as easy as just taking out the gasoline engine and putting in an electric motor and batteries in its place. Here are just a few of the design considerations when converting to electric:
What kind and size of motor to use? Will it be direct drive, or keep the transmission? Where are the batteries going to go? How do you replace the heat, power steering, vacuum for brake booster, and more? These all require careful engineering and often a custom solution, especially to maintain safety and reliability.
